Celebrate with Us

A full year of music, brought to life on stage.

On May 12 at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts in Denver, students from ETM-CO partner schools spend the day in workshops with professional musicians and educators, culminating in a live public performance where they share their creativity, confidence, and voice with the community.

This year’s Festival features DOGTAGS, a queer soul/jazz collective based in Denver, recently recognized by NPR and awarded “Best Debut Album” by Westword.

Arts Education Month

Arts Education Month

📣 Education Through Music-Colorado was honored to be present at the Colorado State Capitol on March 2, when the Senate unanimously adopted a bipartisan resolution designating March as Arts Education Month.

Led by the CBCA and Think 360 Arts for Learning, this initiative highlights the essential role of the arts in a well-rounded education and encourages schools, organizations, and communities to celebrate arts learning throughout the month.

We are proud to join organizations across the state in celebrating the power of arts education and advocating for greater access for all students.

Winter School Performance

Winter Performances

As is tradition, our partner schools hosted their annual ⛄ Winter Performances, where students showcased their musical talents to parents, families, and the broader community. These concerts celebrated the hard work and creativity that students and teachers poured into their music throughout the semester.

From vocal to instrumental performances, these events highlighted the incredible growth our students made in their music education journeys. The warm atmosphere and 🌟 sense of community were truly inspiring. Parents, children, and teachers came together to celebrate the students’ achievements, from improved musical abilities to greater confidence and belonging.

A Teacher is Missing - CO Gives Campaign

Thank You!

✨ Thanks to the generosity of a growing community, our “A Teacher Is Missing” 2025 year-end Colorado Gives Day campaign has surpassed the $50,000 goal, closing the funding gap needed to ensure a full year of music education at one partner school.

💜 To longtime supporters and the many new friends who joined ETM-Colorado through Colorado Gives Day: thank you!

Because of you, classrooms are no longer silent—and a music teacher is back where they belong.

Our Program

The downsizing of school budgets too often results in the elimination of music programs, despite its proven potential to support children’s emotional, behavioral, and relational development. Our mission is to bring music back to schools so that all children—regardless of social or economic status—have access to a high-quality education. Music is integrated into the school day through the expertise of exceptional music teachers, who are trained to promote diversity and foster parental and community engagement. Our national network serves more than 40,000 children every year in New York, Los Angeles, and Denver.

In the 2024–2025 school year, ETM-Colorado reached more than 3,300 students across the Denver metropolitan area — three out of four of whom experience economic and racial marginalization.
