About Education Through Music
While Colorado’s economy is thriving, our schools face ongoing challenges. Music programming is inconsistent throughout the Denver metro area and Education Through Music-Colorado will target under-resourced schools to assist in laying the groundwork for high-quality music education programs. The successful models of ETM-NY and ETM-LA will guide our growth and development as we use music as a catalyst for higher learning and success in the lives of many students. We are committed to making a systemic change within our community by building and supporting sustainable music programs as part of the core curriculum.
Education Through Music-Colorado (ETM Colorado) partners with under-resourced schools to provide music as a core subject for all children, and utilizes music education as a catalyst to improve academic achievement, motivation for school and self-confidence.
Education Through Music-Colorado believes that every child deserves access to high-quality music education, taught by qualified and well-trained music teachers. Music should support learning in other key areas, including math, science and language arts. Engaged parents and school communities are key to the success of students.
