Answer the Call
🎶 Music calls to us from within, a 🔥 fire that warms us, a ☁️ cloud that carries us away. Faster than reason, deeper than words. An innate 💫 gift meant to be awakened in every child.
Yet for many students, access to music has gone quiet. Education Through Music–Colorado partners with under-resourced public schools to bring music back into classrooms—nurturing confidence, creativity, teamwork, and connection through this powerful language.
By joining The Call of Music, you help ensure that music remains a core part of every child’s education—not a luxury, but a foundation.

Honoring Leadership
🏆 The evening will present the 2026 ETM-CO Community Impact Award to David Weingarden, recognizing a leader whose work has strengthened the cultural infrastructure artists and communities rely on.
As Vice President of Concerts + Events at Z2 Entertainment, David has helped shape Colorado’s independent music landscape while advancing national advocacy efforts that protect live music venues.
His role in the National Independent Venue Association’s Save Our Stages campaign—securing $15 billion in Congressional relief during the 2020 shutdown—reflects a deep commitment to protecting the ecosystems that allow creativity to thrive.
⭐ David’s dedication to live music culture reinforces the foundation upon which future generations are built. Read the 📄 Award Announcement.

Meet the Stars
The evening will feature MTN LION, a powerhouse funk-jazz collaboration formed around 2021 by members of Lettuce and The Motet.
Inspired by the solitary strength and wild spirit of the mountain lion, the project blends deep grooves, soulful guitar lines, and improvisational energy into a sound that is both powerful and exploratory.
MTN LION brings together top talent from the funk and jam-band scene, including Adam Deitch and Adam Smirnoff (Lettuce), alongside Joey Porter and Garrett Sayers (The Motet). Tight grooves, high-energy performances, and improvisational jams—an immersive live music experience that sets the tone for a night where music truly leads the way.
