Jamie Hellwig is thrilled and thankful to be working through ETM-CO as the music teacher at Colfax this year. This is Jamie’s first year in the classroom as a full time teacher.
Jamie grew up in the foothills of Yosemite National Park in Oakhurst, California but moved to Denver, Colorado in the summer of 2021. She graduated from California State University Long Beach (CSULB) with a bachelors in music and a minor in child development.
Jamie is a strong and passionate advocate for music in public schools and believes that music is an empowering and inspirational gift that students can take with them for life. She is so excited to explore a variety of instruments, songs, rhymes, dances, and musical games so students can engage their creativity and musicality.
In Jamie’s free time, she loves to create art, compose original music, ski, and explore the natural wonders of this state.
