Meet the Bands

Three bands. Three unique sounds. Thank you to Key of D, Honey Empire, Milquetoast & Co. for their unforgettable performances. Explore their stories and styles below.

Key of D

Key of D

Bringing groove, grit, and good vibes, Key of D returns with their signature mix of classic and contemporary rock with an improvisational twist. Formed in Denver by a group of music-loving dads — including two dedicated ETM-CO board members — this jam band blends musicianship with mission, uniting community and cause with every performance.
After a well-received appearance at last year’s Battle of the Bands, they’re back to open the night with the soulful spirit and infectious humor that have become their hallmark. Whether it’s a beloved cover or a feel-good jam, Key of D sets the tone for an evening full of music, meaning, and celebration.

The Honey Empire

Honey Empire

The Honey Empire is a Denver-based indie-rock band fronted by powerhouse vocalists Kimberly Gionta and Yvette Frampton. Known for their lush harmonies, melodic guitar licks, and a nod to female-led ’90s alternative, their sound is bold, soulful, and unforgettable.
The band — featuring Kimberly, Yvette, Nick Golder, Ryan Skiles, and Blake Watts — delivers tight musicianship and heartfelt passion with every performance. Since the release of their debut album in 2019, they’ve continued to expand their reach with emotionally resonant singles like So Long My Love, Jealous, and Anyway.

Milquetoast & Co.

Mark Simon

Denver-based Milquetoast & Co. (James McAndrew, Kyle Bocchieri, Daniel Zangari, Joe Engel, Ben Parrish) mingles high-intensity indie rock and angular elements of Americana with a melodramatic touch. The band’s music has drawn inspiration from artists such as Morphine, Lord Huron, Kate Bush, Father John Misty, Aldous Harding, Andrew Bird, DeVotchKa, Radiohead, Jacques Dutronc, and many others. The lyrics are abundantly self-aware and ironic without watering down the complexity of the human experience.

They’ll close out the night with a set as unpredictable and unforgettable as their sound.

Cervantes
