A Community of Leaders United by Music and Purpose
Education Through Music-Colorado (ETM-CO) is proud to launch Musicianship in Business (MIB), a leadership network that brings together accomplished professionals who share a foundation in music to expand access and ensure it remains a core part of every child’s education.
Thousands of students across Colorado still grow up without music education in school. The initiative exists to help close this gap.**
Sips of Music

Sips of Music is the second and final Musicianship in Business gathering of 2026.
Created for leaders whose professional lives and musicianship intersect, this intimate evening will pair live jazz with curated wine and meaningful conversation. Steve Justino, an attorney, vocalist, and MIB Ambassador, will perform with pianist John Hayden, bassist Patrick McDevitt, and drummer Lance Croucher, with each musical selection accompanied by a wine tasting.

The Concept
Musicianship in Business is a platform for leadership, storytelling, and connection, built around a simple and powerful idea. The experiences and skills developed through music education, often beginning early in life, play a formative role in shaping confident learners, adaptive thinkers, and successful professionals across a wide range of sectors.
MIB brings together individuals whose personal and professional paths have been influenced by music through formal schooling, private study, or lifelong practice. Entrepreneurs, executives, innovators, and practitioners across disciplines share a common thread. Music has meaningfully shaped how they think, learn, collaborate, and lead.
This influence is not incidental. It is foundational.
By elevating these stories through curated content, community engagement, and selective convenings, Musicianship in Business brings lived experience into the public conversation. It places leadership voices in service of expanding access to music education for children in under-resourced public schools across Colorado.

The initiative offers meaningful relationships and cross-sector exchange, while also creating space to nurture personal creativity, reconnect with one’s own musicianship, and experience music as a source of fulfillment and purpose.
